Airport card won't turn on

Hi, I have an issue that is giving me a bit of grief. My airport extreme won't turn on via the icon on the menu bar. I can get it to turn on via the Internet Connect application and clicking on the 802.1 icon, but once I turn my G5 off then the card is not on any more. The card and G5 is using all the latest firmware and software (well 10.3.7 since 10.3.8 is too new to be a guinea pig).

Its getting a bit frustrating, as this was working perfectly since I got this machine back in June 2004.
Any ideas how to fix this? Are there any preferences that I should be tossing that could be messing with this?

Ran the hardware test cd and came out clean, so it must be software.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Jorge

Well, yeah, how is the card supposed to work if the G5 is shutdown? Sorry for asking the obvious...

And update to 10.3.8 and leave the whole "it's too new" stuff out of the equation. Like seriously.

Thirdly, take the AirPort card out of the G5 and reset it.

The card would stay on if the G5 was off. Then when I would turn on the G5 the card would automatically be on.
I reset the card the first time I started having problems.

I don't want to update to a brand new operating system in the middle of a big work project. Much less one that is less than one day old and for one it will make g5 seem much noisier.

Thanks.

FIXED!

Tossed hidden network files in the hidden USR folder and tossed some other network preferences files that I found by searching for visible and unvisible items. Rebooted, reset my network control panels and bam working again.

No need to install 10.3.8.

Its official I rule.
