Firmware update

I need to update my firmware to 4.28 but to do so I must do it from OS9
I'm running with OS x so I thought I would load OS 9 on my HD but no I cannot install it without doing a claen install!
So how do I install OS 9 without doing a clean install so I can update my firmware
Thanks John

Can you not just boot from a MacOS 9 CD and run it?

No he cannot.
A clean install does not erase anything - it just puts on a fresh OS9 OS and does not affect your OSX data or operations

In Australia and the web site is out of date.
Lots of good deals on Retinas, previous high end MacPros and current MacPro 6 core bundles in stock. [email protected]

You can use Pacifist. It breaks down the packages from your install CD and installs only the packages you want.
