It's a long shot to ask this here in my favourite Mac place.
In MacOS (10.13.6) Safari (13.1.2), I must have clicked something by accident as now my Gmail sidebar has collapsed to half-width & is pretty well unusable. Tried OnyX & a restart, etc. but no dice.

Are you actually using Safari.app to access your gmail??? Or some other application???
Is there any indication that you can widen the column if you mouse over it at the top, sort of like a list of view in mac finder list view.
My sidebar is already half-collapsed (screenshot 1). Click on the three-line Gmail settings makes it collapse completely (screenshot 3).
Using a different browser, Gmail sidebar looks normal (screenshot 2).
Can't imagine what I did! Thanks.
It looks to me like something is altering the font size dramatically. Have you changed font/font settings in Safari? Are you viewing at actual size? (Command-0)
Again, totally by accident, clicked Command + & Bob is once again my uncle! Weird, eh...
Hmmm...??? And I guess you must have hit "Command -" previously to get it to the smaller size.
But those commands should just increase the text/graphics size of the window, and not resize the window column size, as far as i know.
