File sharing problem

G'day,
I have a 2012 Mac Mini running High Sierra and a 2007 Mac Pro running Mountain Lion. When I want to share files I click on the Mac Pro icon in the sidebar. The Mac Pro Public Folder, Home Folder, Hard Drive and connected drives all show up in the window. Is this normal or are there some settings to be tweaked?
Cheers.

This is normal. You then click on what you want to connect to. So I have an iMac with a time machine external and another external storage hard drive. When I select the iMac on the network with my MacBook Pro I see all connected drives as well as the main drive. I can then connect to whatever I want (I have full access). I believe you can limit what is shared under sharing in system preferences so if you want to change it I would look there.
