MCMail error

the rest of the message read " Domain error 1032" Well I did a search on the net first and got no where. Finally contacted Rogers, let them control my computer and 20 minutes later Mail program up and working great. Now the tech who did this told me that Apple had upgraded their system in such a way that this was the cause of the error. Not being a tech/nerd I have no idea so I just posted this as a heads up to others

.... I feel like I've fallen into the middle of a conversation here...

What is "MCMail"? And what was the first part of the message?

I assumed the first part was the two word bold heading. I also assume that mcmail is short for mac mail or more properly called Apple Mail??

The proper name of the Mail error is: MFMessageErrorDomain error 1032;

A quick Google search on that name results in MANY pages of info, most of it like the following. Essentially, redo the settings on the account.

Quote:
In some instances, when you try to check your email, you may see this error message: “MFMessageErrorDomain error 1032”. If you are having this problem, please try the following tip to resolve your issue:

Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar and delete your email account. Then tap Settings > Safari > and Tap Clear History and Clear Cookies and Data. Now tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar and re-enter your email account credentials.
Notes: The instructions above will not delete your email account itself (e.g. Yahoo, Gmail etc), just remove it from the iPad,iPhone or iPod mail app.
(These are obviously written for iOS but it is easy enough to translate into Mac. System Preferences = Settings)
