Disabling AutoSave feature in Mavericks

I notice, on occasion, that I have multiple emails of just one email I created, but all with varying amounts of the full text. I assume this is the AutoSave feature kicking in, of which I'm not too fond of. Is there something done in the Terminal to disable these feature (and turn in back on)?

I don't know if your problem is with the Mavericks' Autosave or Versions setup and you may want to check out both the osxdaily links at:
Autosave and Versions - MacRumors Forums

Maybe they will help.

Thanks for that link. I'll have to give it a try later. Although it doesn't recommend disabling the feature. I just don't like seeing multiple versions of an email in different states.

Agreed. I find that 'feature" to be incredibly annoying and confusing.
