Hi,

I use a BT mouse with my Powerbook G4 17", the only bad is when awaking, the mouse is always out. Sometimes I must close and open it to make it available.

The icon is always at same place and has never became grey.

On November 17 there was a BT update 1.4.1, did you got it ?

Using the Apple Wireless Mouse, 12" PB 867, no troubles here.
Wouldn't be surprised if it is that USB device you tracked it down to - the Bluetooth system is at some level just another USB hub I think.

Did you successfully update the bluetooth firmware? (maybe this doesn't apply to you) There was a firmware update included with the Apple Wireless Mouse - for some people it fails silently because they try to do other things while it is updating, or they try to update while Bluetooth or the mouse is turned off.

anyone notice wierd hickups with bluetooth and panther...

since installing panther on this powerbook 12" g4 867
i seem to have odd little problems with the built in bluetooth..

sometimes when i am booting the computer up the bluetooth icon in the status bar is grey'd out and says that it isn't availible...

i think i may have traced it to a usb device, that when turned on it may cause this, some sort of conflict????

another wierd thing is that when i turn off bluetooth on the status bar after using it, the icon completly dissapears from the status bar at the top...

neither of these things happened with jaguar, just wondering if anyone else has experienced these things under panther...

cheers,
