Mac Pro 2006 Quad 2.66GHz

SOLD!

Thanks to everyone who inquired and, in particular, to everyone who's responses and validations in this thread made the sale so much easier.

My sincere apologies to anyone who inquired for shipping quotes and didn't get them. I was inundated with inquiries for this machine and I got through as many as I could. In the end, the buyer was willing to come to Kingston, making the sale much easier.

All the best,

B.

-----------------------------------------------------------

So, cutting through the responses I've had to this ad, it seems that somewhere around $1700 - $1800 is the correct price.

Therefore, the machine is now available for $1700 FIRM.

Specs:
2 x 2.66GHz Intel Xeon Dual Core (4 cores total)
7 GB RAM
2 x 500G HDD's (1TB Total)
Bluetooth / Airport
ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512MB Video card
Original Box, disks, keyboard, mouse etc.
Comes with Tiger but Leopard currently installed.

Aside from the Ram and HDD's. it's pretty much standard. I recently had the Logic Board replaced under Apple Care.

Asking $1700 firm.

Reason for selling: It's a work design computer and we upgrade whenever AppleCare runs out.

Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

As always, local pickup is welcome in Kingston or shipping to be discussed.

i also have the same system and i love it.

When you factor in the upgrades I'd say this is about the best price any buyer should hope for.

$1100? Sweet deal. If I were in the market right now I'd pounce on it at $1700.

Was that me? Sounds like something I would do.

Actually I would have offered less.

lewdvig: If I don't care whether or not I I get something, I lowball at exactly the price that would break down my sales resistance. Sometimes I get it.

I do this as well, but more often than not it offends the seller. The problem arises when that figure is way below what the seller thinks the item is worth. I think the better response would be a counteroffer but some people don't get that.

Sorry for the hijack, macuserforlife, have a free bump
