Intel mini, cheap as possible!

Okay... It's a long shot, but I'm still hoping. I don't have much cash but I'm still desperate for a cheap computer that doesn't SUCK! (ala EVERY windows machine I've ever owned.)

Please help me out. I have a 160GB SATA laptop drive from a trade that should work fine in a mini... if that'll lower the cost, I could get a near-barebones unit.

I can't stand Windows and whirring fans any longer! If I could afford something new I'd just buy one. Core Solo is fine! Just has to be Intel and it has to be CHEAP!

You could take pleasure in the fact you're making a convert. C'mon... daddy needs his first mac!

A superdrive would be nice... speed can be slow, but I need to occasionally burn DVD's. (unless I can get a unit with no/broken drive and I'll get an external?)

The Mac mini does not provide for an easy hard drive swap. You're better off taking the whole thing and using your drive in an external enclosure. This really won't change the price much anyways, and you'll be able to test the mini out and make sure it works rather than wondering if there's anything wrong in addition to the hard drive.
