Any eMac can run Leopard (with the "hack", of course), with the savings of getting a 700Mhz version you could buy 1GB of RAM, which would greatly improve cost savings and would speed up the system.

There's not much difference in the 700Mhz and 800Mhz processor so I'd just get whatever you find first.

My friend with the 700 Mhz eMac says sure, he will sell it.

E-Mail me and I will give you his e-mail address and you can deal with him direct. He is in Edmonton.

I'm going to wait and try to get the 1Ghz, and I'd prefer to deal locally, even if I decide to go for the 700 or 800. The only exception would be the exact model I orginally was looking for in perfect condition, original box and disks, I would pay for shipping in that case.

Thanks.

I'm guessing you're a collector, right? I'm the same, everything must come with it's box and be in perfect condition.

Okay, please disregard this. I got good deal on a quicksilver tower 933 and a 17-inch Apple LCD monitor, so I will be using that instead as my legacy OS 9 system.

Thanks all.
