wanted old macs

Looking for

Plus,SE,Classic anything in this style
IIfx
950
6100
8100
9600

Why you ask. Because Im nuts. I had these and gave them away. Ill probably find some and fix them and put them on a shelf and never use them but for some reason my collection feels very incomplete without them.

I had owned literally over 50% of every model of Mac made over the past 20 years but through, moving and loss of jobs and divorce I had to ditch 95% of my collection (

Now Im looking just for a few old Macs who I really liked to keep me company.

These will never be sold they are being collected and cared for and will remain in my custody.

Why just the old guys. I have enough from the Beige G3 and up.

Word of wise, never trust a friend who says they will store your equipment indefinitely for you. After the smoke clears and when you arrive 4 years later to look at your stash of prestine Macintosh Vintage equipment only to find an empty basement and a smirk comment that it was taking up too much space. A call would have been nice before you gave it all away or trashed it...

Sorry for the added rant..

Thanks

Chris

Sorry your stuff got trashed : ( . That's an awful tale.

I have a Macintosh IIsi I have not been able to part with. Let me know if you're interested. North Toronto.

And an Apple Portable that I'm going to post separately, as there will likely be some other interest in that.

Thanks for the replies.. Ya wow going through some of the LOST equipment.

Classic, Plus, SE, LC, LCIII, IIfx, IIsi(4), IIci, 840av, Many Performa(s) 6400,Many Quadra,900,950, Power book(s)140,180,540c, 5300, Duo(s)2300, Powerbooks G3 and one PBook G4 15" aluminum.
Power mac 6100x3,7100,8100x2,7600,8500,8600,9600x4,7200, G3 Beige (2),
OMG like 15+ iMac(crt) various colors, 10 or so eMacs,

Thats off the top of my head.

Its not only that. Many were tricked out or maxed out in ram, Vram or video cards and hard drives. Even upgraded processors. The IIfx had a processor upgrade and wicked extra's, 8100 was stacked with max ram, Radius video card, nubus ethernet and a G3 processor, 9600 was literally maxed and a G3 upgrade. That was the hardest part, the upgrades.

Ah, 840AV. That brings back the drool factor. Namely because I always wanted one & it just never happened.

Going to look around, I think I have a 9500MP kicking around, along with an Orange Micro Windows card. Something you'd be interested in?

Apple IIe. Wow. First computer I ever learned to program on, in Apple BASIC. Two words I'll never forget: "Syntax error".

'Course, it was a step up on the first computer & program I ever used, an Apple II+ running VisiCalc spreadsheet software. Took a night course at the local college. Remarkable for it's time.

Just the allure of the name Quadra or IIfx used to get me excited.

Still remember firing up Doom 2 on my IIci and it moved so slowly that I was shot before I could lift the pistol. I think that alone got me to buy the Power Computing PowerTower Pro 180.
