Imac For Son but which one?

Hey Guys,
We have a 2009 iMac model now which is our main computer (still runs great). We wanted to get our son a quality used one. He uses it for online stuff, like netflix, and websites such as lego.com, friv.com, and ones for flash games etc.....

I know our model runs fine, but can anyone advise how old of iMac I could get ? I am not sure. I have seen many original iMacs.. for cheap.. but not sure what power he would need to run his games.

Wifi is a must too. Son is 6

Can anyone help? and what should I pay?

I am near Hamilton.
Thanks
Jim

06 intel imac are starting to be slow for flash otherwise still a good machine. But these tend to have issues with the 17" LCD display.

07+ will keep him running for a while and mavricks capable.

I'd say if you can find another 09, that'd be the way to go.

Have you checked out Apple's refurbished site? Lower prices, and the machines come with standard 1 year warranty and you can add AppleCare.

Make it your main machine and pass the current machine down to your son.
