What does it matter? Its an ad. It generates revenues....aside from that, a LOT of people have an xbox 360. Everyone I know personally that has a mac also has an xbox. I don't have a hatred for all this MS, I just prefer to compute with a mac
I have to agree with Drew on this. The Xbox and Xbox360 are probably the best products they have ever released. I own an Xbox, though it took me awhile to get past the fact that it was made by Microsoft. I'm willing to give credit where credit is due and both of these consoles are solid platforms that brought innovative features to the table when they were released.
I would have to agree...i'm a long time Mac user and don't trust much of what MS has to offer. It took me a long time to come to terms with the fact that I was interested in buying an Xbox 360...I couldn't believe I was actually going through with it, and the real kicker was the first system I brought home --- the DVD tray wouldn't stay closed! (Needless to say, for once I bought the "extended warranty" so all is well as I exchanged it the very next day for a working unit). Point is, as the ad may have bothered me in the past...I can look past it and reflect on my many hours of fun wasted on the Xbox 360 since my purchase about a month ago!
Beyond that....I have to say (and I can't belive my own words) that the Vista promotional site is spectacular! Check it out:
Great site. Interesting use of subtle brand marketing.
As far as the ad, I really did not even give it any tought. I think it's quite fanatical that one gets offended by it. I can do without the extreme fanatic opinions i find here sometimes just as much as I hate the immature pro Windows forum comments. It just seems a bit closed minded to me. We shouldn't limit ourselves to learning from only things we like.
