Logged out in the middle of writing a post????

Hi, I was just in the middle of composing a new thread....you know getting the wording right so it'll make sense....when I lost what I'd written when I checked the Preview and I was told I was not logged in. I HAD been logged in....what gives? I'm already frustrated by the challenge I was writing about (trying to copy a UDF dvd) in the Troubleshooting and now that time was wasted because I was logged out without my knowing it.

Has this happened to anyone else? Can this be fixed??

I really appreciate Ehmac because I've learned so much...... but this was/is frustrating.

More info: I noted that someone else had the same problem....so I followed the link to info about cookies. However I don't understand why sometimes/usually, I can check the Preview just fine and today I was logged out. Also, I went back and recomposed my question in the Troubleshooting forum, did the Preview and was not logged out. Is there a time limit on our visit so that if time passes because we're reading something or writing something then we haven't actually navigated anywhere and so it appears we're not there? (...that make sense?) Thx.

A pleasure to meet you mcoltezo

I had the same problem when I first joined the ehmac community. Here's the solution that worked for me and it ought to work for you. One CAUTION... Don't do this from your computer at work.

At time of logging in... Please note the "remember my info" checkbox. Just click that at time of log in and your problem ought to be solved.

For what it's worth; it is possible to check off the Remember Me feature to help avoid this kind of problem, and when you're done for the day hitting Log Out will stop you from logging back in.
