Giant images in the classifieds

Hi there,

I just ran across an ad in the classifieds that made me shake my head. I don't mean this as an attack on the seller at all... I just think it's important to keep the aesthetics of this site clean and pleasing...

Is there something that can be done to limit inserting a giant jpg or gif into ads? Or at least limiting the display of it when viewing the list of ads?

Here's a comment I left in the ad:

Please provide a text link to your giant jpeg file instead of inserting it into the main body like that. I don't think anyone wants to scroll past this every time they check the classifieds. Imagine if every ad was like this?

I'm sure this really isn't a big deal, but I would hate to see the clean classifieds turn into a Las Vegas-like place with giant animated gifs and all

And if I'm over-reacting, sorry folks... it's just the graphic designer in me

It's gone now... I'm assuming he's planning on re-listing it. It was for a G4 mini, and the seller had made a poster in jpg format that was inserted into the body of the ad (probably using the [ img ] tag). This meant a GIANT jpg was shown in the "preview" area when browsing the classifieds in list view.

I really hope I didn't make a mountain out of a mole hill here... I was just worried about the long-term implications of the precedent the ad would be setting.
