Friendly feedback as opposed to unfriendly?

Constructive criticism might be a better term...

So far, I like what I see with one exception. IMHO there is too much red. I thought that before but now it is almost overwhelming. The number of reverse bars (white on red) on some pages is just plain loud! Perhaps using some pastel shades or something that doesn't "scream" at ones eyes?

Talking

I have another style I'm working on that it a little closer to home for us Mac users however it won't fit very well under the classifieds and gallery sections.

Time will tell.

The only problem I see so far is the avatars are really BIG. This could pose problems for those of us still on dial up.

All in all though, I know the work that went into reworking the site. There will be a few bugs, but if we all provide our feedback, we can make this transition go smoother.

Again. Good work Guys.

They are standard forum sized avatars. As a matter of fact, I didn't like the old ehmac scrunched down avatars. There is an open to turn off avatar display in your User Control Panel, if you wish.

Well I think things look very nice. Too much red? Maybe a bit, red is one of those colors that do weird things on certain LCD's.

As far as the avatars, great size makes it nicer I think. I'm on a dialup connection right now and there is no real problem loading things. Mind you I'm in the city so it may be different in rural areas where things are a bit slower sometimes.

Much much faster than the old board. http://www.ehmac.ca/images/smilies/wink.gif

Ooops... Mr. Wink isn't working.

I have already asked this of the mayor, privately, but just thought I' throw this out here publicly:

I think a shout-box would be great!

Like the one they have here:
http://www.thecomputermechanics.com/forums/index.php?

Where you can have a quick chat in realtime.
