If a person was banned permanently from ehMac or decided to leave ehMac,
Would ehMac be required to delete all their posts if that individual requested it?
Just wondering about Intellectual rights, Should I decide to leave this board.

Can I edit or delete my posts?
If you have registered and are logged in, you may be able to edit and delete your posts (although the administrator may have turned off this option). Your ability to edit your posts may be time-limited, depending on how the administrator has set up the forum.
To edit or delete your posts, click the Edit button by the particular post. If your post was the first in the thread, then deleting it may remove the entire thread.
Once you've made your modifications, a note may appear to inform other users that you have edited your post.
If the edit time and date appear as a link you can click on this to see the differences between the original and edited versions, or between edits if there have been multiple edits.
Can others edit my posts?
Administrators and moderators may also edit your messages. If they do, there may not be a note telling other users that the post was modified.

They are not required to do it. However, it would be nice to know that each member could nuke all of one's own posts at will without having to do it one by one.

I think you pretty much say bye-bye to intellectual property rights as soon as you post anything on the Internet. Anyone can copy and paste at any time, including photos, so if you're concerned about privacy, don't post on the Internet.

Actually, the intellectual property is yours--unless you signed it away by posting it on a site that operates this way. However, trying to enforce your intellectual property rights is another matter altogether. You can prosecute some guy who stole your photo and then used it as wallpaper on his Facebook site, but the value of the damages is usually not worth pursuing.

Are we talking about Intellectual Property Rights or Privacy here? As pointed out you own your intellectual rights ( to a certain degree ) but privacy on the web is a different issue. I think the question, at least to me, is.... if I permanently leave this site ( or any site for that matter ) or I die, what becomes of my on-line legacy, and does ehmac have a method to delete this conveniently when notified to do so? I can only imagine what that must be like on FB or Twitter.............

NO forum is going to either provide you with a way to delete all of your posts and photos, nor do it for you.
Their business is clicks on pages and page views: substantially enhanced by how many posts there are, and how much traffic they draw as a result.
You agreed to this when you created your account here, btw.
Some fora will even ban you if they notice you deleting your posts. This is why.
Add to that that this is now a forum where the owners are choosing not to meddle like moderators: every slightly offensive post draws replies and more traffic. That keeps them in speedboats and caviar.

I've recently started law school and I'm taking this directly from my intellectual property book: among other requirements, unless you publish with your work your intent to retain your rights of intellectual property over said works, you have no right to claim IP rights over said work.
So if you include in your signature that the contents of your posting that the use or reproduction of your contents are limited, then you may retain the rights to that content. However, you have already published it and you have no right to force ehMac to remove that work.
There is legislation in the US (California) that allows people to have content removed by websites, but I would think it is expensive to do so. The content would have to be fairly damaging as well.
