I don't pretend to fully comprehend U.S. sensitivities about various things, but it stinks in Canada.

I agree ............ and I am an American as well as a Canadian. Paix, mon ami.

When I was growing up, Armistice Day, as Nov. 11th was called back then, was celebrated in schools, with WWI vets coming in to tell us about their lives in France and Belgium. Thinking back upon it now, these WWI vets were younger than I am right now.

Surely you saw the opportunity to remind Eddie Bauer that if we followed suit in EVERYTHING the U.S. does, we'd be in Iraq right now, eh?

Nah, that'd probably be in bad taste.

Oddly enough I have no problem with that.

I too remember the WW1 vets talking to us. What I particularly remember was that they wanted to do everything they possibly could to insure that we did not share their experiences. They were proud of their service but remembered too vividly the friends lost and maimed.

Social Distancing is an Oxymoron. The correct term is Social Demonization or Social Repression. Bandits, thieves and politically correct thugs hide behind masks.

That is the way it was for us as well. Lest we forget. Paix, mon ami.
