Amazing. I would have been bankrupted years ago due to my daughter's various health care issues right from birth had I still been living in the US. No amount of insurance could have covered all of the medical expenses and medications it entailed. It cost me over $30,000 in the 23 years of her life, which were the costs outside of my Blue Cross insurance and the MCP here in NL. I was able to cover that because I was employed as a university professor. Still, it would have cost me at least thirty-times this amount had I been living in the US, which would have been way beyond my means.
