Primus TalkBroadband

Anybody here using Primus' VoIP for their local and long distance? Their latest offer is very appealling (http://www.primus.ca/en/residential/...and/index.html).

I can't decide whether or not to make the jump. I'd like to hear the good, the bad and the ugly on this from existing users.

Your comments/experiences would be greatly appreciated.

We use Vonage, don't know anyone on Primus. Vonage is quite good. One thing that you need to consider is that any Voip uses bandwidth. Make sure you can spare at least 300kbs up and down and you're good to go.

Primus customer service is terrible. I have been with them for a few years. I put up with their 400 dollar billing error. "but that's ok sir, we applied it as a credit to your account and then deducted from that amount every month". Yeah they did, but they first stole 400 bucks, then didnt provide me with a single bill as to what they were deducting.

Now they want to charge me with a cancellation fee because I cancelled without giving them 30 days notice. I asked to speak to a manager, "Sure sir, please wait a moment" .... click ... Dialtone ..

They have the WORST customer service I have EVER dealt with.

The best talk broadband company I have dealt with is voipgo (Voipgo | Down to Earth VOIP Service.) Right now because I paid upfront, they are giving me the service for 12 dollars a month.
