hey folks,

at least we can all be on the same side and talk about hockey, eh manny p?

first canadian exhibition game is tonight live from columbus, vs. USA. lemieux is not playing...it is an exhibition game, i realize, but i'm pretty excited to get some good old fashioned hockey time in in the midst of the (yawn) olympics.

leafs tv is carrying it...i'll be out at a bar tonight at 7:00 sharp to catch it...prb the loose moose on front st in the world capital of hockey.

hope to see some of you out!

prediction? 2-0 usa. not that i would like that...i just have a feeling, you know?

ive got my tickets for the toronto games - i bought them a year ago, and am glad i did now with the chance that there may not be any hockey for awhile!

Canada can lose tonight, just so long as they get it out of there system before the real games begin!

well there wasn't much of a game last night in the first of three exhibition games for canada.

man, it looked like i was watching a shinny game, with great clumps of skaters all chasing the puck en masse. no creative plays, sloppy passing, and a general look of sluggishness plagued most of the game.

i wouldn't count this game for much in the grand scheme of things. if anything, it is good that canada lost. they will do better if they play against some adversity as opposed to thinking they can win on skill alone.

that said, Leaf D Brian Leetch looked real good out there. man, i love this guy. he can play a game after sitting out for months on end and still look classy and make some decent plays.
