"Crosbie earned praise — and criticism — for his quick wit, saucy tongue and controversial decisions"

He was a character.....no matter what your political stance his presence will be missed.

There's someone I thought was gone long ago! I always enjoyed hearing him interviewed.

Ditto on being a character, I still remember him telling Sheila Copps to 'settle down, baby!

A fitting tribute to the man, a long but excellent read.

Rex Murphy on John C. Crosbie: One of the finest, and perhaps the last, of Newfoundland's true characters

Rex knew him quite well. I met John Crosbie once and had a short chat with him, in that he wanted to know why I chose to come to Memorial Univ to teach. I also had a chance to meet Rex Murphy a few times and we chatted about both John Crosbie and Abe Lincoln.
