ehmac site using excessive memory??

Keep getting this safari warning that ehmac is using excessive memory and closing it will make my browsing better (not the exact wording).

Is something wrong with ehmac? It does feel a bit sluggish at times when typing a post, I do not get that on any other forum.

What browser are you using and what possible extensions are enabled that could produce such a message???

What does your Activity Monitor.app say about your memory use?

No extensions enabled. Using Safari in High Sierra, all latest updates.

Safari is listed as using 229.6mb under activity monitor

Maybe it's related to this:

This form of data collection is the first of its kind for Safari, aimed at identifying sites that use excessive power and crash the browser by monopolizing too much memory.

Do not really understand it. My issue is fairly recently and only related to ehMac. Even typing this is sluggish whereas the next tab over in another forum everything is smooth as silk.

If I am the only one with the issue then it is certainly something on my end.

All I know is I'm not having any slow type problems here lately but have had in the past, but I also seldom use multiple jobs when browsing.

Maybe try using single page browsing and see if it helps.

Do you also have the same problem using a different browser?

Also, have you added anything recently to your Mac or any new extensions to your browser?

This issue happens to me from time to time lately as well. I did find that running OnyX 'Maintenance' clears it up, for me at least.

I saw there was an update for Safari. Hopefully that fixes it. If that does not I will look at Onyx and run some maintenance there.

I don't think we're running anything out of the ordinary. They could just be an adpartner. Do you have more information that safari could provide?

Typing is OK, but I do have an issue in Snow Leopard. Sometimes get the spinning beachball for 5-10 secs when opening a new tab. No such issue when booted into El Capitan.

Memory use seems to be about <700MB although I have seen it go well over 1 GB. At that point when I close FireFox I have to force quit the app or it just hangs in. I know this is an outdated OS-Browser combo but ehMac is pretty much the only site where this happens.
