Price Check 27"iMac i7

I'm looking to sell my iMac that is in great condition.

2010 27' 2.93 i7 (2nd Gen) 12GBs Ram (2X2GB+2X4GB) 1TB media Drive with a 256 OCZ agility 4 SSD system drive in place of the DVD mounted by drive bay caddie. It also has a external e-SATA mod with the cable coming out of the Ram cover (completely reversible.) Screen in great condition...no dead or stuck pixels. No Apple Care left, No thunderbolt, Just a Kick ass 8 thread processor.

Can anyone suggest a price,
Thanks
R

Were the modifications done by an Apple-certified technician? If not, the resale value will drop substantially. Nobody wants a machine that's been torn apart by someone who doesn't know what they're doing.

Apple would never do this kind of a mod. I did it myself. I do now what I'm doing. (2 suction cups 8 screws and a cable) not much can go wrong! I understand that It could be a red flag to many. This is an excellent machine with a fast SSD and e-sata. Processor is still very relevant I just cant live with out usb 3.0!

Apple wouldn't, but a Apple-certified technician certainly might.

Nice work! OWC offers this as a mod. They charge $539 to do it. Mac2sell claims your base model is worth $1420, but they always quote way high. Having taken a quick look at Ebay, the base model would probably sell in the $1000-1300 range. My guess would be that $1500-1700 would be the likely range. In the end, though, stuff is worth what people will pay.
