Not sure if this was posted yet, but caught iWind (lol) of this yesterday. Pretty cool. actually. It's the type of set up that I would expect to see from some real performers, and not that lame girl Rana Sobhany (http://twitter.com/ranajune) who brings nothing but comic disbelief and shamefacedness with her claims of reinvention (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHPmcU13_mU) of the wheels (of steel).

Anyone here ever play w/ Touch OSC?? Pretty fresh s/w in my books. I plan to mess about w/ it a touch more this year for sure.

TouchOSC is so yesterday. Liine Lemur (Lemur – Liine (http://liine.net/en/products/lemur/)) is where it's at. TouchOSC is practically a toy compared to Lemur (which actually has roots in a dedicated bit of hardware that predated the iPad by a few years- it's where TouchOSC got their idea from, but only recently Lemur got ported to iOS).

OH GAWD Dennis,

I know Lemur and Jazz Mutants (http://www.jazzmutant.com/lemur_overview.php) très well. Do you think ppl would have dropped $2k just to try it out back then?? +, I like the idea of a total customization of your pages in OSC. I know I bought Touch OSC and balked at a Lemur.

YES, Lemur is now ported for iOS - saw it. But of course it would predate the iPad by a few years - the iPad was still a dream/didn't exist in 2000s. But the min the iPad dropped, things literally changed over night - in my books.

I have friends who never owned a lemur, just had a midi controller, but totally did the Touch OSC thing when it dropped.

With Lemur being out for iOS, they might scoop some users back, new fans etc. But the fact remains that many might not have made that ma$$ive leap to lemur, but bought Touch OSC. And now, they may benefit from them maybe going to Lemur if and only if they feel they can't achieve certain things in the Touch OSC environment, which is still pretty robust.
Almost like a garageband to Logic type of migration though Touch OSC is much more capable than a GB.

Bottom line is that Lemur's iOS will certainly benefit from Touch OSC users now, who might want to graduate to their app. But the app is also $49.99, and is not as simple to set up as I've read around the net.

Either way, it's great to see this performance platform get this kind of exposure.
