I found a nifty app in my RSS feeds the other day - pushes the current temp to your home screen, which is pretty cool.
Nice looking UI, too.
Celsius - Weather & Temperature on your Home Screen for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad on the iTunes App Store (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/celsius-weather-temperature/id426940482?mt=8)

They've got a Fahrenheit version, too.

If you are looking for a good magazine reader I like ZINO (http://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/zinio-magazine-newsstand-reader/id364297166?mt=8) works great I read MacWorld on it every month.

Flipboard (http://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/flipboard/id358801284?mt=8) is a really interesting (and free) way to read your FaceBook and Twitter feeds, as well as some other news.

I also really like the Global (http://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/global-video/id404050595?mt=8) and CityTV (http://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/citytv-video/id390492092?mt=8) apps, they let you watch the show that you missed last night, it streams to your iPad

And finally I am a big fan of Carcassonne (http://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/carcassonne/id375295479?mt=8) if you have never played this game and you enjoy strategy board games you will love it. Also it features a great multiplayer online feature as well as some really innovative single player versions.

oh and if you have little kids (like I do) SpellBoard (http://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/spellboard/id390290951?mt=8) is a great way for your kids to practice the weekly spelling words that they have to learn.

Zite it's a personal magazine of web content, you select the initial topics you are interested in and rate if you like or don't content as it you read, which will then show you more content like that you like... I love it... It's been very quick to learn my tastes...

WiFi Photo

Amazing little app for transferring photos from iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch to your computer or another iOS device. The app and the computer need to be on the same subnet and the app need to be running on the target device.

It doesn't seem to work in IE on a Windows box, but it works fine in Chrome.

I've found FlipBoard to be simply amazing... love the "flip" navigation style, and the content is pretty good too.
Another good app I discovered last night is "Flickr Explore"... check it out if you enjoy viewing good photography.

Why don't you provide a link to one you were thinking of trying?

TuneIn radio

Can't link to app when using an iPad.

If you know how, I'm all ears.

I have to agree that Flipboard and Zite are incredible.
