Have put a new internal cd burner into my (new to me) G3 and lo and behold . . . Toast says there is no cd recorder. Does anyone have any ideas as I have a client breathing down my neck to get a job done and I can't use my cd drive at all. Hope people are in on this rainy night. Have a good long weekend!
Any tips appreciated. Thanks.

CD-RW brand name?
Write, re-write, read speed?
ATA or SCSI connection?

I had a slight problem where Toast wouldn't quite recognize my burner when I upgraded my stock dvd. It saw my new drive but didn't recognize it quite fully - I wasn't able to write at max speed the drive was capable of. I was using v5.0 of Toast at the time, upgrading to v5.2 solved the problem. Not sure if your version of Toast may be the culprit...best of luck JN.

Thanks for the advise. It's a Just Link cd-writer but now I realize that the floppy drive isn't working either. They somehow must be connected together as it worked before this new drive was put in. Will get the person who installed it to fix it . Probably the easiest solution.
