My macbook pro has been running applications very slow its almost impossible now for me to be making an imove and running firefox at the same time. So i've decided to to upgrade to 6GB's of Ram, i've read on other websites that it works so anyone know of a trusted place to buy ram or trusted seller on eBay? And also what type of ram do i need for my 2009 13" 2.26, 250gb HD mbp? Thanks for the help! :)

CanadaRam is pretty good I hear ;)

It's where most of us get our stuff from!

You need DDR3-1066 SODIMMs.

The MacBook will take up to 8GB of RAM.

But if it already has 4GB In there, there's really no reason it should be so slow... what other trouble-shooting have you tried?

I found with 2gb mine would bog down sometimes also, mainly because safari seemed to be a memory hog. With 4gb it runs smoothly no matter what (although I probobly could bog it down if I ran parallels at the same time)
