Imagine if the keys had the tactile feedback of an actual typewriter, you'll have strong muscular fingers in no time. lol.

I was goona say. It all looks cool, but after using the chicklet keyboards, that one would be a real fun one to use.

The keyboard is kinda neat but the PC itself, I must disagree is nasty.... I think a nicer retro look could have been better achieved... but I would stick to the typewriter type keyboard in a redesign.

I dig it. I'm thinking Moses Znaimer would approve.

It's totally Jetsons. I wish it had Mac guts. Man, at least it has a personality - too many bland boxes out there.

:lmao: I guess you are too young to appreciate the design reference. It pays homage to the Philco Predicta an iconic brand of TV marketed in the late '50s.

To each their own, but I think they did an awesome job with the design given the point of reference.

Gadzooks that's ugly. But, yes, I am to young to have caught the reference...

I'm a little more partial to the pedestal model:

it's neat, but the orange is inappropriate & misplaced for the design aesthetic,

just a chrome or even grey/blue would be MUCH better suited.

I was around for the end of the age of typewriters, but to be honest I kind of miss them...

I liked the noise they make when you really got going...

A valid criticism i-rui. I wasn't sure about the orange either as it isn't my favourite colour either. I think touch a of colour is nice though... not quite sure what colour it should be.

Here is what it might look like in an all metal finish. I like it, nice and simple but I think a splash of colour would be a nice touch... They will probably make different versions...

Well I guess you didn't like the iMac G4 either. You can certainly see from a design perspective how even the iMac G4 owes its design lineage to the Philco Predicta.

Maybe this suits your design aesthetic better rgray... not exactly my cup of tea, but pretty cool nonetheless...

yes, that chop is MUCH better. I agree SOME colour would also be nice.... an ice blue for instance.... a lot of colours COULD work but they'd have to be subtle and not highly saturated.

That orange is just too garish IMO

Not mine either - looks like lots of places to collect dust and cat hair.. ;)

The keyboard on that first machine would be a real PITA to clean....

I like that retro keyboard and mouse, the rest is okay 'cept for the colour.

Max, nice reference to Zneimer's vintage TV Museum, ever seen the collection?
