My wife grew up on a farm just six miles from Kipling. Been there, done that. ;)

I've been working in the South Eastern area of the province for the past little while, and it really is a vibrant area. All of the communities are very upbeat, and genuinely excited about life in general. Unfortunately my work has just finished up in that area of the province though, so I will not be able to attend the premiere. I actually only left that area of the province four days ago.

For those unaware of the province, the South Eastern area of the province (including Stoughton, Carlyle, Carnduff, Estevan, Weyburn, Oxbow, Kipling, Kisbey, and Arcola) have all been hit with a huge economic boom as they are in the Bakken Oil Patch, which even during the economic recession, still remained profitable as well extraction of oil is much more cost effective then tar-sand productions. With this economic boom alot of the communities have been doing their part to get their name on the map. For instance the town of Carlyle recently attended a convention in Europe (I believe in Sweden, but a quick google search found nothing) and they were a finalist in a competition in community development. I didn't hear what the verdict was at the end of that convention, but it was quite exciting for the town.

I also had to have a bit of a smile on my face, as I work for the consulting firm that helps the Town of Carlyle with some of its community planning :D

The only bids likely to interest the good folk of Biggar will be undertaken at their Bridge Club.

Good one, SQ. Actually, they are all show dogs, so all intact. How about a nice game of chess? Or, let's just relax with a Rubik's Cube. Paix, mon ami.
