hey everyone

Need some major help

I have a 30 gb iPod video that won't sync with iTunes for xp

My computer recognizes it. But not itunes.

It was formatted for mac so when I connected it to my xp machine it asked mento restore it to win xp in order to use it. So I clicked yes and it went through the restore but now after the restore it isn't being recognized by iTunes so I can't put anything on it..

If unplug it back into my mac it asks me to restore it back to mac so I know my iPod is ok

I'm guessing here (not wanting to ever use XP any more than I can help it), but my thought is that a "restore" is not the same thing as a "reformat."

Basically, you need to make up your mind which computer you want to tie this iPod to, reformat it for that OS and then do a restore.

If it's Windows, here's how to do this:
How do I reformat a Mac-formatted iPod for Windows? :: Free Tech Support from Ask Dave Taylor! (http://www.askdavetaylor.com/how_to_reformat_mac-formatted_ipod_windows_xp.html)

If it's going to be a Mac iPod, just do a restore.
