Hi,
I was wondering if this is just me or not...
I formatted and re-installed Leopard, and then selected the 'restore from time machine backup' option.. It took about 6 hours to restore.
Then I tried formatting again and opted for the do not transfer anything now option. Then I went into the migration assistant thingy and selected my time machine backup. just like before, i selected all of the options (documents, applications, etc etc), and I swear I don't think it even took 20 minutes...
My backup is stored on a trekstor 500gb external usb hard drive. I am pretty sure both options transfered the same files, applications etc... I couldn't really find a difference.
But it could just be me!
