Does anyone know what the original keyboard and mouse was shipped with the following Macs?

Beige G3

Thanks in advance!

What a strange and interesting question! :)

1. The IIci came with the "Platinum" standard ADB Mac keyboard.

2. The 840av came with the "beige" standard ADB Mac keyboard.

3. The first G3s came with what was called the Apple Extended Keyboard II.

4. 6320CD - same as above.

The above was researched using MacTracker and the Wikipedia entry for the history of Apple keyboards. I believe it's correct, but the possibility of error exists.

Thank you chas_m! I have the above systems, but after all this time and dozens of early Macs having passed through my hands, my old brain simply could not remember what came with what.

Pretty sure the IICi came with the original Extended with the height adjustment ( sadly missed )

I thought the 840 did as well.

G3s and Performa's with the smaller standard keyboard.

Always like the design and footprint on this one.

and this was the best of all - but damn did they break.

can't find a photo of the smaller Performa keyboard without the insets

MacDoc is 100% correct about the IIci's keyboard -- it was the platinum "extended" as shown in his photo.

I still have one of those (with its' now-yellowing keyboard) in storage somewhere. I added a (601?) upgrade card to it and had a swiveling radius to go with it. I was KING OF THE WORLD in 1993. :)

Thank you gentlemen! Now that my memory has been "kick started" I seem to remember that the IIci keyboard was exactly the same width as the system when it was in "desktop mode" rather than "tower mode" I have a mint, still in the original box, Extended k/b! Now to get my IIci out of storage.....
