One thing that stands out for me is that they sold nearly 2.3m Macs. Just a few years ago I read the installed base was 10m in total. Even if more than 50% of those sales are to existing Mac users, that's quite an increase.

The results from Q2 just makes you wonder how much do the resellers make when Apple talks in Billions.. even 1-2% profit margin of that will still get you in the $10 million... assuming they only do 1% of what Apple sells, thats still a good chunk of $

not really...

1% profit on 1% sales is pennies. Maybe a reseller could be more correct, but I would lean to say that resellers make their money on repairs that Apple compensates them for not the actual sales.
