Any idea what a vintage Apple SE that's working and running OS7 would be worth?

I'm looking at one a guy in my area is selling. I'm starting to collect Apples.

I don't have exact specs on the computer, but does anyone have a ballpark?

$1? $10?

Really, post a "want ad" in the ehMac classifieds, and there will be some offers--if you're willing to pick them up.

The guy selling one is asking $20. It's in working order with original disks and manual. I see they're selling on a website in the US that has all used Macs for $45.

As long as you're not expecting to surf the interweb on it, I'm sure it would be a fine deal. See if it comes with Shufflepuck Cafe. ;)

Will do :)

I'm just looking for an old Apple to start a collection with. There are not too many for sale at decent prices where I'm at.

Where you located at? Assuming it's not Toronto ... I have quite a few "classic" macs that I'm going to get rid of very soon as I'm moving ... I may end up posting them on here. Free for the taking, all I ask is local pickup.

I'm not bartering him down, I was just asking how much people have been selling them for. I've already picked it up for $20.

Geesh, I just gave away...

9500 running 9.1 at 450MHz
Centris 650 running 7.1
7200/90 running 9.1
Apple multiscan monitor.

Used Kijiji and had loads of interest.

Posted it here too and didn't get a single enquiry from ehMac

Good news is that I've now got room in my basement for a couple of old iMacs ;-)

I tried giving away a Power Computing Mac clone and an old monitor and ended up getting $20 for it. The guy wouldn't accept it free.

Hey what happened to you Kosh, don't you know the perfect answer to his question was a simple ambiguous "Yes..."?

Minor point - learn to call the computers "Macs" or "Macintoshes" - "Apples" were older computers made by the same company but quite different from Macs.
