Before I purchase a Macbook I just wanted to make sure that Linux works with VMWare or Parralels. Id most likely be using Ubuntu or RedHat.

It says on VMWares site that it does, but fails to specify a distro. Just wanted to confirm or hear from someone who has it working!

Thanks:cool:

I know Linux will work with VMWare forsure.

I used a distro of Ubuntu about a year ago with no problems

Fusion does a much better job with Linux than Parallels. I am currently running Fedora Core 8 and Ubuntu 7.10 with no problems. VMware has been supporting linux much longer and it shows the driver package for the mouse, video, usb2 support are excellent as well as being able to copy from desktop to desktop. I use Fusion for Linux and Parallels for Windows. Just my 2 cents!
