: Making a DVD from a windows media player file?

Feb 25th, 2008, 02:27 PM
I have a talk in a windows media file that I downloaded and I would like to make a DVD of it. Can this be done? I have made a DVD from another DVD but I can't seem to use the same process for the WMP file. Ir is currently on the desktop and can be played. It is a free download so I figure it is OK to copy. Just don't know how. Thanks for any help.

You need a program to make DVDs. You probably have iDVD on your computer.

See if you can import the video file into iDVD. If not, try importing it into iMovie. If still no luck, download iSquint, and convert the WMP file to a standard MP4 which should load into iMovie / iDVD no problems.

If you don't have iMovie or iDVD, then you want a program like Toast 8.

Apple - Downloads - iPod + iTunes - iSquint (http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/ipod_itunes/isquint.html)

What a great little program! And church-sanctioned--I mean…Apple-sanctioned, even. Thanks for the advice!

I heart iSquint.
