Now that I can make my own dvds, I'm hoping to achive some of my analogue collection -- especially some of my laser discs which are quickly deteriorating. Many are simply not available on dvd and, because of rights problems, will likely stay that way. The problem is many are suffering from "laser rot" which shows up as multi-coloured speckles on the image.
Is there software commercially available that can deal with this, similar to what you can do with images in Photoshop? I've also heard some of the newer dvd recorders have filters that can do this. Is this an option? Has anyone had experience with these?
Thanks in advance.
