I was thinking of getting my hands on a mac mini. I'll be working on animation, Video/audio production and some web stuff.
I just wanted to find out from those who have this machine how it performs.

All I can say is, don't expect stellar performance for A/V production on the bottom of the line machine. You get what you pay for and all that.

As a home computer, the Mini should be more than sufficient for almost everybody. As a professional tool, you might want to look at a professional model.

It all depends on what kind of A/V production you want to do. Play around with iMovie/iDVD could be OK on a mini -- but Final Cut Pro and/or Motion aren't supported by the Mini's Integrated Intel GMA950 graphics.

You'll need a dedicated videocard to get into Animation and likely need it for any heavy video production.. I'd suggest at minimum a Core 2 Duo iMac with the ATI X1600 videocard.
