Hey guys,

I'm looking at replacing the factory hard drive in my mini with a faster (maybe even larger) one. I have the 40GB, 4200RPM drive now and I am starting to notice some slowness issues. I am going to upgrade the RAM to 1GB as well, but for the hard drive would my money be better spent on a 7200RPM/8MB cache drive or a 5400RPM/16MB cache? The 5400RPM drives tend to be cheaper, but would a 7200RPM drive be that much faster? The extra 8MB of cache on the 5400RPM drive would probably more than make up for the slightly slower speed, correct?

What do you guys think?
