I notice my emac's been slowing down recently. Especially on-line, which I thought was just my connection (cable), but it's been going on for a while now. My question is, would it work faster if I unplugged any USB that wasn't in use at the time? And if so, is it ok to be plugging and unplugging usb connections all the time? I have my printer, scanner, wireless mouse, keyboard and two ipods plugged in.

Use Onyx for a tune up - the instead of restarting shut it down for a few minutes to clear the RAM buffers.

Your drive may be getting full or may be failing.

You DO backup right !!!!!! :D

Question about Onyx - Is there anything else you do besides running the 3 maintenance scripts?

Run the Automation suite.

There are some useful settings in Appearance.

I like the Show active screen corners in the Dashboard Expose settings.

Safari speed up is useful

Why bother? Anacron can do this automatically anytime of the day for you.
