oldgrumpy Dec 23rd, 2005, 08:52 PM Is it possibe to use iDVD without a Superdrive? audiodan Dec 23rd, 2005, 08:59 PM You can use it, just not burn anything if you do not have a system that does not have a DVD burner. However, you could, instead of purchasing a Superdrive and upgrading, just get an external burner! jasonwood Dec 23rd, 2005, 09:01 PM You can use it, just not burn anything... Are you sure? Unless there's some kind of workaround, I believe iDVD refuses to open unless it detects a superdrive. audiodan Dec 23rd, 2005, 09:02 PM I will tell you the answer to that in a second! audiodan Dec 23rd, 2005, 09:03 PM You can uses it, but a message comes up saying that you cannot burn! Jestered Dec 23rd, 2005, 10:43 PM won't even let me open it on my non superdrive mac. It says you have to have a superdrive to open it. audiodan Dec 23rd, 2005, 10:44 PM It lets me do it and I only have a combo drive! Jestered, what is your email address? Jestered Dec 23rd, 2005, 11:17 PM ...Jestered, what is your email address? Ummm... why? LOL. jlcinc Dec 23rd, 2005, 11:21 PM Google patchburn Jestered Dec 23rd, 2005, 11:24 PM Google patchburn I had to use that with my external burner, but if I did not have the burner connected it would not let me launch iDVD. audiodan Dec 23rd, 2005, 11:27 PM This is what I got when I tried to use iDVD without a DVD burner Jestered Dec 23rd, 2005, 11:32 PM I wonder what the dif is between our setups? I had my issues probably about 6 months ago. That was also before I got my SuperDrive book, so I am not sure... I wonder if Apple relaxed on the restrictions or what happened. |
