My ibook's 60 gig hard drive is full!?!?

10gigs of applications
15gigs of itunes music (I can cut down to 10gigs)
1.25gigs of documents stuff
16 gigs of photos (I can cut down to 10 gigs....)

That's about 42 gigs.......

The rest is OS X??

What can I uninstall and how?

If you haven't already, run Monolingual. It should give you an extra gig or two for sure.

Have a careful look through your apps: are there anty you never use, and cannot foresee using? As an example, I never use garageband so deleted it.

Also, have another look at your photos. Download and run iPhot Diet (find it on Versiontracker): this will gain space and make iPhot run more smoothly and faster. Then make up albums of the ones you really like, the ones you show to friends etc, and then back up the others: I would suggest to CDs and to an external drive.

Buy a DVD burner and backup everything you have and then be more selective on what you keep on the HD.

You might also want to check to see if you don't have some huge logs taking up a lot of space on the drive. There was some shareware out there that helps with this if you're not comfortable with poking around via command line :)
