Okay, I have a Tiger install DVD.

I have a G3 iBook with a CD-Rom drive only.

I have access to a G4 eMac with a SuperDrive.

Is there ANY way to install Tiger on the iBook? Can I burn the DVD to CDs somehow? It won't install via the network. Arg!

There should be a coupon in the Tiger retail box you sent to Apple along with an additional $10USD, and Apple will send you a CD version of Tiger.

You can use Apple's media exchange program if you want it on CD's. Coupon can be found here....

Or, you can follow instructions here...

Easiest for now just to boot the iBook into Target mode and - hook up to the eMac and install from the eMac.

THEN do the exchange thing.

Awesome guys, thanks so much.

I'm bringing one of the eMacs home for the Christmas break (which starts tomorrow, ah the life of a teacher hehe) - I'll try it then!
