I wanted to challenge the Mac community in the sense that I believe the Mac OS isn't friendly to the internet sometimes-more often then not?!?

I was trying to play a video file from above using Tiger OS X & High Speed internet & it wasn't loading????!!!!??

Is there an issue here? Can you load this up? Is it inherant with Tiger or is there an update I should make with a third party software like Real Media???

Looks like their video pages are incompatible with Safari. View source on the video page and you will the actual video file:

<param name="FileName" value="http://www.exn.ca/news/video/exn2005/12/15/exn20051215-power.asx">

Paste the url (http://...) into Safari's location field and all is well. It plays using Windows Media Player, so you will need that installed.

Try using Firefox. It worked for me. Safari opens a new window but no video populates it.

I have problems playing video clips from cnn using firefox.
The front end ad loads and plays perfectly, but the actual video clip skips, stops, breaks up - just not watchable.
Everytime that happens I send a nastygram to CNN complaining about the non-industry standard garbage applications they use and that I expect better from a supposedly world class organization.
Going over the top, I know - but if people don't complain these things are never going to get better.
