I'm trying to get an answer from some one on the issue of whether the spiffy new keyboard from MS works under 9. USB is USB, right? It works under 10.2 according to the instructions, but no mention of 9? Does anyone know?
I'd like to get one, but I'm still on 9.

Thanks,

As long as this isn't a wireless model then you should have basic keyboard functionality. It's unlikely that any of the special/programable keys will work however, since there are no OS9 drivers. It would be a total waste if you're buying it for the added features.

If it's a wireless model I would steer clear since It may not work at all in OS9. I bought a Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse combo a couple of years ago since it said right on the box that it had drivers for OS9 and X. They lied of course. Yup, there were OS9 drivers alright, but they didn't work. It was fine with OSX or with a PC.

We've never had problems with MS keyboards on 9 or X. Good software. I use MS mouse and KB personally.
We always suggest wired keyboard with your choice on the mouse.
