Hi there, my Thumb Drive is formatted at FAT16 and i'd like to format it for FAT32... DIsk Utility doesn't give me that option in Tiger. How can i format it?

Not to worry - what the Tiger Disk Utility calls "MS-DOS File System" is actually FAT32.

FAT 16, which isn't even an option in OS X, is limited to a 2 GB partition, which is lots for key drives, Zip drives and the like, but not nearly enough for any modern hard drive.

Yes. The complete list is:

Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
Mac OS Extended
Mac OS Extended (Case-sensitive, Journaled)
Mac OS Extended (Case-sensitive)
Mac OS Standard
MS-DOS File System
UNIX File System

MS-DOS File System = FAT32
Mac OS Extended = HFS+
