How to add a delay to the activation OS X's Hot Corner feature (activating Expose or Screensaver by moving the cursor to the four corners of the screen)?

No way that I'm familiar with. Certainly, there's nothing in the system preferences. There might MAYBE be a way via the Terminal, but that's way over my head. Anybody??

MAYBE there might be some shareware solution out there. I suggest doing some creative searching at http://www.versiontracker.com

This isn't really a delay.. but it allows you to click, instead of automatically doing an action when going to the corner :) I like it :D

I just tried cornerclick, it does have a hover trigger + 2 sec. delay feature. However, it seems to be buggy and causing unpredictable behaviours on my iBook running Panther...

Good one, Vexel! We do have to be mindful of "Someone's" experience, though...

Yeah.. I just installed it again. It seems to be buggy. Odd though, it worked perfectly when I used it in Panther a while back. :(

edit: Maybe a bug with the most recent update.. because it never behaved like that before.

I guess I will try it again when 0.7 comes. Right now, I am just installing and trying various software titles on OS X trying to find the best ones. After this, I will probably reinstall the OS (I know this is unnecessary for stability's sake, but I would also like to customize my OS install a little bit and remove some unneeded programs)

I used to wonder this, because I didn't like the fact that I would accidentally set off Expose all the time. But Apple provided a good fix with Tiger:

Go into the Expose preference panel, and activate the drop-down menu for the corner you want. Then, push Command...

That's right, you can now add modifier keys for the hot-corners! No more accidental Expose or Dashboard triggering.

I really don't use the hot-corners much, now. I have Function key to activate Expose-All and Control to activate Show Desktop. Works great.
