I just got a 2nd hand 12" Powerbook and noticed there are some type of grease marks on the keyboard and trackpad area. I was wondering if there is anyway of cleaning these off? How do you guys usually clean your machines and how often?

Hell no.. I knew they were great.. when they took out the ink stains from the newspaper after typing.

I just use a damp and a dry paper towel on my PB. Once a week while shut down after running maintenance. Once in a while, I'll vac the keyboard but let me forewarn you, do NOT use a shop vac. Sure it gets all the dust, but mine got some keys as well. No big deal, except the searching through the dirt for A,Z,X,and C.

What's thsi magic eraser you speak of? Where do I pick one up at? I just use compressed air to clean the system out rather than a shop vac! Lol

At least not since my Tangerine iBook lost that "vitamin-C fresh" taste...

Ever?

I wouldn't use those magic erasers on the screen.

I have a bunch of them from the free coupons given out when the products were new.

But I think I want another 12 confirmtions that they won't scratch.

WOW.. not on the screen! I thought we were talking about the White Plastic Casing/Keyboard... Water only ever goes on my screen.. with a microfiber cloth!
