Just wondering if:

A powerbook with 1.25gb ram run Virtual PC 7 ok? I have the 1.5 ghz, 12 inch model. I just want to know if i should expect my machine to be freezing up while running the XP version.

Thanks,
Applelover

With VPC, your only limited to a max of 512Mb RAM usage. Even on my G5, it run at the same painfull speed as my PowerBook G4.

It should run fine, allocate at least 512MB to WinXP. What do you need to run? For business programs it should be ok but for graphic programs of any kind, 2D or 3D, expect to be frustrated.

Has anyone here tried to run Win2k/WinNT4 with VPC?

I believe these OSes are more suitable for VPC.

I believe these OSes are more suitable for VPC.I run Win2k Professional with VPC 7 and it does run faster than with XP Pro.

A friend of mine, who bought my old 700mhz Flat Panel iMac a couple of years ago when I got my G5 dualie, was asking about running VPC on her machine. Any ideas as to how it might perform - would it be too much of a slug? The iMac has 512mb of RAM.
